Coventry

Author: Molly Day

A story that shows how love is the strongest magic of all, Coventry by Molly Day puts a lighter spin on urban fantasy. A cast of quirky characters navigate romance, drama, business, and magic in a compelling narrative that readers say they can’t put down.

Brand-new magic academy graduate Solstice Harper is recruited to the prestigious Coventry Consulting straight out of school, which is practically unheard of. She is excited for her new adventure at first but quickly realizes that corporate culture isn’t what she thought it would be. The older witches in her department are wary of her being a prodigy and don’t want her there.

Discouraged and alone in a new city aside from her familiar, Sol befriends the charming owner of a struggling cafe. It isn’t long before she begins to fall for him but he has problems of his own.

Blake Dupree is afraid that he will lose his home and business all at once before Sol comes along and turns things around by being a loyal customer and secretly giving him a little magical help. Against his better judgment, he is drawn in by her sunny nature but he doesn’t have time for romance. He has a business to save.

A real estate developer is after his entire block and will do anything to buy him out, including resorting to shady magical means. Coventry’s shady magical means.

Sol can’t go up against a VIP client but can’t let Blake lose what matters most to him either. Or can she? Keeping her interference from the coven leader won’t be easy but she is determined to walk the line between matters of business and matters of the heart no matter what!

Coventry Excerpt:

“You really think he would do that?!”

“I wouldn’t put it past him, honestly. He’s the reason this block is so dead. All of the construction is his doing. All of my neighbors have been driven out of business the past couple of years. I’m the only one left. I don’t want to be forced out. This is the only home I’ve ever known,” Blake said miserably.

This was the most honest that he had been with her about his worries. Sol didn’t want him to have to worry about that sort of thing. It wasn’t fair.

He had already lost his parents. He shouldn’t have to lose his home too.

Business had been picking up because of the good luck charm that she gave him. But there was more that she could do to help. She was going to protect this place no matter what!
